Sewer Line Obstructions
Obstructions are the most common sewer line problem and will often manifest as drainage issues. You may experience:
- Multiple slow drains
- Noisy drains
- Foul odors
- Gurgling toilets
- Inefficient flushing
- Fluctuating water levels in the toilet bowl
In these scenarios, we’ll often recommend hydro jetting over traditional rooter services. Many households in our service area can even benefit from preventative hydro jetting. This service involves using a hydrojet machine to inject water into the sewer line at high pressure. The jet is strong enough to clear the toughest obstructions without damaging the pipe. Another benefit is that it removes scale, scum, and other debris from the pipe walls. That makes your sewer line less prone to future blockages.
Sewer Line Repair & Replacement
If you need a sewer line repair or replacement, there are both traditional trench and trenchless options. The traditional approach involves excavating to access the line and either performing a repair or replacing it. Trenchless methods are typically more expensive. The benefit is that they are faster and can avoid expenses related to repairing your landscape and hardscape.
Cured-in-place pipe relining is an example of trenchless sewer line repair. It’s an effective way to save sewer pipes that have small cracks and other imperfections. The process involves inserting and inflating a resin-impregnated liner. Once that liner cures, it fills in all the cracks and pinholes to prevent further leakage.
Pipe bursting is a trenchless method for sewer line replacement. This process uses a bursting head to break the existing pipe into ultrafine particles. Those particles get absorbed by the ground with no negative environmental impact. At the same time, the head leads a new sewer line into position.
