How Hydro Jetting Works
Hydro jetting uses a special hose and high-pressure water to clean the inside of your pipes.
Unlike some drain cleaning methods that only create a path through the clog, hydro jetting cleans much more of the pipe’s interior surface. This helps remove buildup that may otherwise remain behind and cause future problems.
Before starting, a plumber may inspect the line to make sure the pipe is in good condition. The hose is then placed inside the drain or sewer line. Pressurized water sprays through the pipe, breaking apart the buildup and flushing debris out of the system.
Hydro jetting can remove grease, soap scum, sludge, mineral deposits, and other materials that collect inside pipes over time.
If an inspection finds damaged piping, we may recommend drain repair or replacement before cleaning.
Benefits of Hydro Jetting
Hydro jetting does more than clear a blockage. It helps clean the inside of the pipe from wall to wall.
Benefits of hydro jetting include:
- Removes stubborn buildup
- Helps prevent recurring clogs
- Improves drain flow
- Clears grease and sludge
- Uses water instead of harsh chemicals
- Cleans long sections of pipe
- Helps keep drains and sewer lines working properly
Because hydro jetting removes buildup throughout the pipe, it often provides longer-lasting results than methods that only break through a clog.
For larger drain or sewer problems, hydro jetting may be combined with professional sewer line services. We also offer emergency plumbing service for urgent plumbing issues.
